It shouldn't be that way since GrapheneOS is far more secure than any OS permitted by the Play Integrity API. It's an incredibly anti-competitive and anti-security system. It forbids having a much more secure device while permitting having devices with over 8 years of no privacy/security patches. That doesn't make any sense at all.
