TL;DR
Senator Warren’s proposed digital assets bill (co-written, or mostly written I should say, by the banking industry…shocker they would want bitcoin ONLY accessed by the likes of them through custodians and ETF…) would “shut down #crypto financed terrorism” in the same way that the U.S. gov’t spying on every phone call Americans took stopped terrorism (it did and has not).
Approaching terrorism and the mechanisms to fund terrorist operations should be targeted & careful.
Warren’s approach is an ineffective shotgun and would effectively make using crypto and Bitcoin as a U.S. citizen illegal (no peer to peer, self custody, and more…it’s still vague how it would be implemented). She knows it and isn’t bothered to care, while recruiting other senators to support this bill who barely know how to use google.
