#ScribesAndMakers 8. Why do you think some people don't see value in creativity?
probably spoiled child syndrome, taking things for granted because they don't realize how much work goes into making the world pleasant.
people who scorn creativity don't realize how much they depend on it. 'good design is invisible; bad design is everywhere.' most people who are philistines about art still have enough of an aesthetic sense to tell when something is attractive or butt-ugly. these are the first people who would complain about butt-ugly clothes, shoes, houses, and cars.
the most basic objects people use in their daily lives were designed by someone creative. even the typeface on your phone screen had a designer. but that creative work is invisible until you see it done badly.
