Maybe, but the effort now vs when I first started using Nostr is a lot less in my opinion. I couldn't stand it at first, but I was able to about a year later and even went Nostr only in that time. So 3 years from now may be tolerable for a lot more people. Plus, a company could make it a lot easier by managing nsecs, for example. People could signup with an email and password or whatever like normal and have it tied to an nsec. Defeats the point, in my opinion, but it could be a way Nostr grows. The niche aspect then would just people who take self-custody by creating their own keys offline or something like that. Bitcoin isn't so niche anymore. Holding your own keys still is though.
