I've been thinking. Chaos theory is the study of how limited information produces unpredictability. Stephen Wolfram's theory of computational irreducability studies how limited computation produces unpredictability. And thermodynamics is the study of how unpredictability produces entropy. All three theories are related to eachother, how neat is that?

Though that leads me to wonder... Is it possible to have a system that is chaotic, but computationally reducable? Is it possible to have a system that is computationally irreducable but not chaotic? Is it possible to have a system that is unpredictable, but which is neither chaotic, nor irreducable? And do any of these flavors of unpredictability have any noticable thermodynamic consequences? How is a state of chaos related to a law of chaos?
