A couple weeks ago I was referred to an apprenticeship for a company that builds food processing machinery (very clean, very high degree of precision, very good pay). The guy in charge of apprentice intake managed to call me three or four times while I was working in the middle of the day with tools and heavy equipment, so I never heard him.
Then we played text message tag and I told him I'd be available at lunch or after 4:30. He asked "is 12 okay?" and then never called me.
