Look, I know Pachelbel's Canon in D has been to say the least 'overplayed' for half a century or more. Endless adverts etc etc. But its popularity is down to it being an unusually attractive and soothing composition. Played in true Baroque style with a small chamber orchestra it is elegant.
It doesn't need a fucking vocal slapped on top.
