I just experienced some equivalent of the Mandela Effect¹ for one!
I was convinced Patrik Mathews, the neo-Nazi was from BC and the manhunt was in MB.

Turns out I was also remembering a concurrent incident involving a manhunt for two BC teens who murdered three people who were eventually FOUND in MB.

Turns out that the first one, was a legit Nazi, the second set had a Nazi tie that family members disavow.

Anyway, apparently it's really difficult to understand why people focus on the violence of the right wing instead of the antifa.

¹ it might actually turn out to be the Mandela effect proper because these two incidents were so close to each other they may have been conflated in other people's heads, too. I just don't have a data set.
