I finally got to watching a piece of Scandinavian film history: the Ingmar Bergman classic Fanny och Alexander (the 3 hour movie version). I liked the 1980s style of cinematic storytelling that is slow and gentle in ways movies aren't nowadays, and cruel and direct in others. The fantasy elements were a bit of a surprise, but in the end I really liked them too. It fits the way how a child sees the world. Made me think a lot about my own storytelling and what to do next. 😊 Very inspiring.
