Today I'm having a discussion with a coworker about deadlines.
The life lesson I'm trying desperately to impart is that if they meet that deadline, there will surely be another one after it. And another, and another, and...
Knowingly making bad choices that lead to technical debt, all in the name of deadlines, is not acceptable.
As a DBA, I'm sure they're tired of hearing me say "no".
They need to learn to say "no" themselves. Especially when deadlines are not realistic.
