Looking for Fediverse oddities!I am super late, OVER THE DEADLINE to submit the slides of [my talk](https://www.sfscon.it/talks/what-is-the-fediverse-defining-values-and-key-challenges/ ) at [SFSCON](https://www.sfscon.it ) 2025, but I still want to add a few little things, and I need tips.
My presentation ends by listing a few “crazy but true” things about the Fediverse.
Can you help me find a few more in the next couple hours?
So far I have:<li>Truth Social uses Mastodon and it was forced to open-source its code after it was discovered</li><li>Some public institutions host their own Fediverse instances!</li><li>You could host a Fediverse server in your living room</li><li>You can use a car’s on-board computer to power a Fediverse server</li><li>You can synchronize your personal calendar with federated calendars from the Fediverse (using <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.cisti.org/@gancio"; class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>gancio</span></a></span>)</li><li>You can buy indie music by paying an artist directly (using <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://clip.place/accounts/bandwagon"; class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>bandwagon</span></a></span>)</li><li>You can do academic peer-reviews via the Fediverse (using <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://indieweb.social/@bonfire"; class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>bonfire</span></a></span>)</li>
