It was a completely different reality.

The fight is being lost on the culture and on economics.

War used to be honourable, but its not anymore (for some 200 years or much more in Europe).

Classical warfare requires an objective (remove a tyrant/governor/king, conquer a territory, or destroy the war capability). But nowadays there is no clear objetive for a field war.

When the American Revolution happened, not even large armies wars existed - it came with Napoleon the use of massive contingents of people. Dishonourable.

But then by WWI trenches and WWII air superiority, it was over. Dishonourable.

War today becomes chaos, assymetric warfare. Violence for the sake of violence. This was inaugurated with the state of Israel in the middle of the Mohammedan region with continuous never e ding violence, and its the state of affairs in places with narco traffic wars.

In this scenario (that is emerging in America), what happens is people resort to private security and gated communities. But no shift in power ever happens. The cancer penetrated too much, by removing it, its roots would come with all the societal meat. Only a miracle can save us.

Post modernity is the fragmentation of psychology, culture and reality. The aggression happens I'm factoids, disconnected from one another.

And... A civil war is always madness. The people fighting their own fellow compatriots...
