The route we chose gave us the option of attempting a 3rd 4000 footer (Willey), but the trail past Mt Field was heavily drifted and not broken out yet. One group of 6 or so attempted it, but we opted to forego it and get to the car before dark. Also, as the first big snowshoeing we’d done in almost a full year, we didn’t want to push ourselves too hard. It was moderately cold, around 17F / -8C before windchill. Standing around for 15 minutes one would get cold quickly if injured or exhausted. 3 / ?
