Christine didn’t touch on it in her already quite comprehensive thread, but renewables have other advantages: allowing for agrivoltaics, and repopulating of sea beds by offshore wind turbines. Both help mitigate climate change beyond CO2, and that is worth £££ but isn’t well accounted for anywhere.
