Back in the day indigenous people around here had public canoes on certain sections of the river for anyone to use. You couldn't easily take the canoes anywhere else anyway, and everyone benefitted from having canoes just like, around on that section of the river so like... yeah. People would carry their own paddles with them, and use the public canoes when they traveled.

Also yeah good to see you around Skuppr, fedi kinda sucks but I always like talking about boats with you!!
