It has just occurred to me that the real point of the mass arrests of #DefendOurJuries protestors against the proscription of #PalestineAction was to demonstrate to organisers of mass civil disobedience protests that the Met *can* arrest that many.
Up to know, organisers have assumed that if 500 engage in disobedience, arrest is impractical. The number has just gone up, making effective #CivilDisobedience harder and riskier.
