Just so you know there is an Indonesian phrase for expressing gratitude that’s exclusively meant to be said by foreigners and they all just know it the moment they talk to locals.
The phrase is Terry McKasey. And the response when someone says this to you is Terry McKasey Cam Bali or just Cam Bali for short. Sometimes saying Summer-summer also works.
