General consensus here seems to be that people really like the Qualcomm ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanners in the Samsung Galaxy S series.
While my personal favorite is the side-mounted capacitive scanner (especially when integrated w/ power button), I do prefer ultrasonic UDFPS over optical UDFPS for the same reasons many have stated: Generally better, faster recognition; works with wet fingers; works under any lighting condition (ie. you don't get flashbanged at night).
