I've been spoiled for most of my HEMA career, as my Seattle-based club has a great friendship with swordmaker Angus Trim. The upside is that I have twelve beautiful ATrim sharps and got them all direct from the maker... the downside is that I paid for twelve beautiful ATrim sharps...
The last time I visited his shop he had a leaf-bladed one-hander, and it handled and cut like a dream. I hope your longsword exceeds all your expectations when you get it.
