I had to have the inside evaporator coil on my previous heat pump system *replaced* and the guy didn’t do one important thing (vacuum purge the system before recharging the unit - it gets any trash out of the system from the repair but takes an hour or 2) but he said it should be fine. The system never worked properly again. After fighting with them and trying 2 other companies over 2 years, I gave up and bought a whole new system. Details matter.
