If we just instituted #RankedChoiceVoting/#InstantRunoffVoting, we could have as many parties as we want without having to worry about spoilers.
But it would also eliminate the lengthy "primary" process and all the money spent on it, so #Republicans (and some #Democrats) will never vote for it. 😒
