I'm not against unions per se. But as a very late Boomer, I have belonged to a dozen unions and every single one has assfucked me to the tune of thousands of dollars.
"Oh, we have a two-tier pay scale. If you had been hired before the contract, you'd be making $14/hr. Since you're new, you get $7.50."
"Good news everybody! We negotiated a $.75/hr raise! Except you three guys. You're getting laid off."
"Because of the two-day strike, we won a $.05 an hour raise and a new insurance plan! It kicks in in 90 days. Well, no, the old contract expired. That plan doesn't cover anyone any more. Your wife's 8 months pregnant. Guess it sucks to be you."
Like Libertarianism, or Sandra Bullock, unions are attractive in theory, but full of AIDS.
