I have never written a book review but here goes…
A book from the founding of the Soviet Union to its demise. It covers Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin in detail. The next biggest focus is on its end with discussions of Reagan and Thatchers contributions to encouraging glasnost. Extremely great storytelling with interesting facts that I have not come across in other contexts of studying this period in history. The book strikes a positive note, the white pill, despite the brutality and horrors of the period. There is something in this book even for those who lived through it.
It is impossible not to make comparisons to the collectivist mindset that permeates Western society today.
Another words, let’s not go down this road, because it eventually leads to place no healthy human would want to go.
