Exactly. Privacy is not just a preference. It is what makes speech, association, dissent, and personal autonomy possible.

That is why KOSA worries me. Even if it does not literally say “upload your ID,” it creates pressure for platforms to know who is a minor. That pushes the internet toward age checks, identity vendors, and less pseudonymous speech.
