Who's turning him into a profet? I'm not seeing that expressed anywhere & I'm not seeing any devestated investors. I can't see a reason to be calling people morons. Maybe I've stuck my head in the sand but I'm trying hard to see what it is that I'm missing.

I see him as a leader of a fiat company that's running a novel experiment to extract value out of the fiat system. He then distributes that value to all holders of bitcoin & not in a selfless way. He's doing it because he believes that it will make strategy shareholders wealthy & make him a legend in the fiat world. I think he's doing it for ego.

He's effectively calling out the fact that nobody ever intends to pay the debt back. It's impossible to pay it back & it's becoming obvious to anyone paying attention.

I don't think he wanted STRC to succeed as money, he just wanted to pump Bitcoin, to raise capital. The incentives with this product are fascinating & the outcome of the experiment is far from clear. Only the forced sellers of STRC lost money, dividends are still being paid.

I'm beginning to suspect that people are angry at him for extracting value from the USD. Maybe they believe that it can't be sustainable? I believe it's sustainable while you can exchange USD for bitcoin.

It could also be just people projecting the blame of their lost purchasing power onto him. Bear markets are hard emotionally even if you bought bitcoin for other reasons.
