Using the Pi primarily to teach children and hobbyist adults about computers and programming I do find that venvs are a big barrier for people to get over. They just want to play with python and control some electronics but now need to learn some complex concepts first. We’ve lost the simple first steps experience of running pip to install some libs, then write a few lines of code and see cool stuff working.
