I love dogs. Most dogs we encounter on the trails are friendly and well behaved. I understand, but wildlife doesn’t. They stay away.

I’ve read some article about water voles in England; the stretch of the nature trail where they mandated the leash on dogs, the animal thrived —or something like that.

So, it’s important to keep your dogs on leash if you want wildlife to thrive in the natural areas.
