I have friends who worked for federal government for years & they're terrified of being cut off work. It's a reality that most of us self employed or employed in private sectors face often in our working lives. There is no such thing as longterm job security anywhere, anymore, unless you're super rich & can bribe people higher up or connected to folks who will do those dirty deeds for you. I quit government ages ago due to personal conscience conflicts & seeing too much corruption
