⚡️🔎 NEW - The researcher who found a critical flaw in Zcash now wants to audit Monero.
Taylor Hornby, the security engineer who recently discovered a critical vulnerability in Zcash using the Claude Opus 4.8 AI model, has announced that Monero is among his next audit targets.
The flaw, which was patched in early June, could have allowed for the unlimited creation of fake ZEC without being detected for several years.
Rather than exploiting the vulnerability, Hornby reported it to the developers so it could be fixed.
His intention to now examine Monero and other privacy-focused cryptocurrencies demonstrates just how powerful AI is becoming as a tool for identifying flaws that even years of human audits can miss.
