Securing the Bitcoin network is far cheaper and more efficient than propping up fiat currency.

To destroy Bitcoin you have to use a lot of energy, the energy used in Bitcoin is not wasteful energy, the usefulness of Bitcoin as an uncensorable international payment system is tremendous, and it is much cheaper than central banks supported by their armies.
