okay, the pwhl is a big deal within a very narrow area, but half the point of it getting started was to have a place for meaningful competitive games on a regular and continuing basis _between olympics_.
this is the league's third season and seattle's first, so we're about to see how having that affects olympic-level play - but the olympics are still the bigger deal. if the pwhl takes off, that could change - but only so far, since the pwhl is north american only and the olympics are global.
