Israeli security sources say Israel will not withdraw from its self-declared “security zone” in southern Lebanon under emerging US–Iran understandings, according to Israeli media reports.

Officials are reportedly preparing for a possible pause in the ground offensive but insist military attacks in southern Lebanon will continue, while reducing deeper strikes to avoid disrupting the potential US–Iran deal.

The report also says Israel has advanced over 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory and continued its military campaign since March, causing heavy killings and displacement.
