It is unfortunate that when a society is hurting from the abuses of right wing policies, it looks to blame their circumstances on ‘Others’. It’s also a shame that the electorate is so easily manipulated to distort their discontent into fear and hatred for any “Other’ pointed to them by those seeking to remain in power.
WIth the shifting of the ‘norms’ and ‘acceptable’ political policies to the right generally, it is more important than ever for the real ‘left’ to be vocal about the state of domestic politics which is totally responsible for current economic ills.
