A phone conversation with an officer of the Polizia della Frontiera to see whether I might claim ‘force majeure’ if my health keeps me in port (and within the Schengen zone) for longer than 90 days. Their response was positive and sympathetic: “Your situation is a definition of ‘force majeure’. No need to come to our offices.
