I often find myself on old logging roads. They were once wide, straight, alleys in the woods where large equipment crossed, grooving deep furrows, keeping green growth at bay and stomping each stone, leaf, and lichen covered branch out of sight.

Slowly it is being reclaimed. The ruts fill in, the width shrinks, and a new generation of trees begin.
