I'm not sure what you're observing is new? It seems to me like this is how things have always been, and many have already mused on why this insular nature seems so pervasive or whatever.

I personally don't really care, to be honest. I've never been interested in fostering or building the "community," I've just done what I did because I felt like I could help certain things right there in the moment, not out of any other intention.
