I think that perception ofrepression of other avenues of "free" speech is what drives people to NOSTR.
The ecosystem that is in place is niche right now. Retention of users here is low because of the perception of better, easier alternatives.
This platform will never soar like an eagle until the government really cracks down on free speech.
