I am reminded of the time when Stephen Hawking said that thanks to Physics, "we no longer need Philosophers." A rather prominent philosopher noted that this was fascinating in a recursive way, because what Hawking said was itself a philosophical statement.

Any time you see someone declaring their project "apolitical" in some way, they are nearly always doing so in opposition to some other project that has politics they disagree with. That sort of a priori makes them also a political project.
