#WordWeavers 25. Do illicit drugs or alcohol play a role in your story?
In book 2, Anaïs smokes weed and experiments with psychedelic mushrooms. This causes some friction between her and Leila, whose sister is addicted to Ecstasy and other party drugs. Anaïs insists it's not the same, but Leila isn't convinced.
As for alcohol, in book 1 we learn that Anaïs' dad doesn't drink... or at least he didn't. There's some partying in book 2, but most characters drink no more or less than you'd expect.
