They were so determined to shove the incumbent down our throats they suffocated any primary.
And THEN, at the last fucking minute, in "the most important election ever", after ALL THAT SHIT about how we can't afford to rock the boat, can't second guess things, gotta stay the course, stay lined up behind Our Man, nevermind all this genocide, he's the only one who can save us-- he's suddenly like "oh woops nevermind" and just FLAKES the fuck out??? (What's his excuse, anyway? I don't even care but I BET you there won't even really be one, just vague mumbling)
......Maybe we should have actually had a real goddamn primary, huh? Maybe let people judge who seems most competent or whatever and vote on it, you know this democracy(ish) stuff we're supposed to be holding in such high esteem? But nah. Just, nah.
So now, we'll get saddled with a candidate who completely flopped in the primaries with no delegates, somebody basically nobody asked for. Or maybe there'll be some kinda half-assed selection process formality thingie. Or whatever.
And you know what? It doesn't even fucking matter.
Nothing will fundamentally change.
Even if Kamala Harris wins, we'll just get to suffer through the shame and indignity of watching the first female president forking over more bombs to genocide and helping the fossil fuel companies set everything on fire, JUST LIKE THE BOYS YAY EQUALITY, while everybody cheers and celebrates because surely a woman-- especially a Black one-- knows better and wouldn't do that to us, so we can look at her face and sigh happily and spend another generation pretending things are going to be better while they're actually still getting worse at a horrifically accelerating rate.
