Sitting here this evening on my porch sipping a mug of tea enoying the cool evening air, and all of a sudden I am missing my childhood home.
I currently live in a city, all I hear is the sounds from area factories, the sounds of trucks roaring down the expressway at 70 mph.
I grew up in a small farm town of 800 people. A creek and a woods ran through my back yard. I could lay in bed at night with the window opening, hear the owls in the woods, and the sounds of hundreds or maybe even thousands of locusts. I miss those nights
