As most intelligent, well-read people know, violent crime in SF, as in all the "blue" cities Trump has invaded, is way down. Homicides, for example, are running at their lowest rate since 1954, at a rate of 1.33 per 100,000 people, whereas the National average is nearly triple that at 4.49 homicides per 100,000 people.
Perhaps Trump & his brain, Stephen Miller, were more receptive to Lurie's pleas because of the tech bro oligarchs' & Trump team's mutual support for the dystopian Dark Enlightenment & their hopes to turn SF into their own private Singapore.
