We have a diversity of views on the left, which I see as a good thing, but having been collectively out of effective power for so long I suspect we are bad at making compromises. We each make our own hill we want to die on. The right also have it easier than ever, because in the strange information fantasy land they've created, anything is possible, however implausible. In fact I think some wear their adherence to blatant untruths as a badge of honour.
