I’m almost exclusively a recurve shooter, but I’ve had good experiences with the English longbow when I tried it. Though it looks like what they sell on Ali Bow is fiberglass, not wood like what I’m used to. Just make sure you only use feather arrows and not plastic vane arrows with either style of bow. Vanes will fuck your hands up pretty quick without an arrow rest.

Only thing I don’t like about those bows is not being able to change out the limbs. But if they’re that cheap it’s not that big of a deal.

I’m not sure what your draw style is but some people find that it’s best to shoot the tartar style bows with a thumb draw. If you prefer the three fingers style the longbow might be a better choice.
