I’m not saying if people developed real Mac apps again that we’d be able to have app icons with different silhouettes again too. But I am saying that whenever I’m disappointed about Mac app for being just an iPad app that runs on the Mac, I look at its icon and think, well... yeah. Here we are, aren’t we?

iPhone is great. But it sucked all the air out of the room. It shifted all the talent away from the Mac, and people followed the money (and worked for bigger companies with bigger salaries).
