Icom Inc., a Japanese company, has halted production of a walkie-talkie model allegedly used in explosions in Lebanon, which killed at least 26 people and wounded over 3,000. The company stopped making and selling the devices in 2014 and has also discontinued production of the batteries needed to operate the main unit. Icom is still investigating the situation and has warned customers that almost all IC-V82s on the market are counterfeit.
