That's BS. It's like saying a Pontiac was built with a Miller welder, or using Nucor steel, or with a Chevy engine, therefore it's actually a Miller/Pontiac or a Nucor/Pontiac, or a Chevy/Pontiac not just a Pontiac.
More importantly, names are a human thing, not a linguistic/definitional correctness thing. People generally don't say or care about GNU Linux, or Hurd or Taler because it sounds stupid, not because it's incorrect. Software names don't have to be some clever in-joke. Just come up with something more unique/catchy than Ganoo Hurd (as in heard? herd? Amber Heard?).
No one cares about what the GNU/dictionary says because it's human behaviour that makes definitions, not the other way around. It's Linux simply because we all call it that.
