This man deserves recognition. Not for saving the economy. Not for refusing to bend to political pressure.

Having the resolve to show up every day, do the right thing, tune out the noise, and remain a good person while the entire world screamed at him from every direction.

You can criticize his actions. You can say he didn't do enough or did too much. You can blame him for whatever you need a person to blame for.

But the man showed up every day for 8 years. Never raised his voice. Never retaliated. Remained calm and did his job. Took the hits from every side and never once broke character.

That's not politics. That's conviction.
