most of my social media interaction is reading. i am also a middle aged dude and that is likely why, but also i can't really listen to a podcast in bed (don't wanna disturb partner) or in between tasks, so audio media doesn't really meet me where i am at, but i can read in many situations.

i also can't really interact with a podcast, but i can reply to a post

it feels like podcasting is sorta like write-only accounts on here; it's for broadcasting a message but not for interaction with a community
