For any of my fellow sewcialists who end up doing a lot of self-tailoring, you know measuring yourself can be tricky since we tend to tense muscles and twist a bit to hold the measuring tape in place (which gives an inaccurate measurement).

I used to use binder clips to kind of hold and adjust the tape until I could be reasonably sure I was getting a relaxed-stance measurement. But this little snap button tape measure I found years ago (second hand) has been hella nice since I don’t have to dig for the binder clips when I need a quick measurement!

I poked around and it looks like there are similar ones readily available. So if you’re in need of a new measuring tape, do recommend ☺️
